Acropora sp.- ORA "Stuber Staghorn" - 2" Stock Frag

Availability: In stock

The Stuber Stag  produced at ORA is a direct descendent of the famous "Stuber Acropora" colony, one of the first corals to ever be kept in captivity.  It's namesake is German aquarist Dietrich Stuber, who is credited with launching the "Berlin" method of reefkeeping. It's one of the oldest ORA corals available, and they like to refer to it as an "heirloom species". It features a long branching structure with a deep brown base and light blue growth tips. The Stuber is known for its distinctive corallites, which  are longer and  more widely spaced than many other so-called "Staghorn"  species. If you're looking for a frag with a great history, this one is for you!   Note that ours are huge and super grown out!  Get them while the last.

PLACEMENT: On Rockwork or Rubble

WATER MOVEMENT: Moderate-Strong

LIGHTING:  Moderate-Bright

HUSBANDRY NOTES: We keep this Acropora about 22" under  20k 400 watt Radium metal halide lights. We feed them several times a week with oyster eggs and other meaty, marine- based foods. Water parameters are not overly critical, in our experience.

NOTE: You will be purchasing a coral similar to the one in the photo. Because we spend less time photographing and uploading "stock" items, we pass the savings on to you! If they are on the site, they're always ready to ship!
